Organised by the City of Reims, the Rencontres Associatives is an event that's held every other year, usually in October, at the Centre des Congrès in Reims; in alternate years, it's the turn of the Forum des Associations. The idea is for clubs and associations to get together around a main theme and cultivate relations with the city authorities.
As for the Forum, the Rencontres Associatives is restricted to clubs and associations based in the Reims area or national ones that have a local branch in Reims. Participation is free of charge.
The next Rencontres Associatives are to be held in October 2008.
