With the opening of the East European TGV (high-speed) train line on 10 June 2007, Reims is now only a 45-minute journey from Paris. A daily shuttle service, running at 320km an hour, links Reims central station with Gare de l'Est in the capital.
From the new Champagne Ardenne TGV interconnecting station (Bezannes) situated ten minutes from the city centre, services run to Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport (30 mins), Marne la Vallèe and Paris (40 mins), Strasbourg (1 hour 55 mins), Lille(1 hour 30 mins), Rennes, Nantes, Bordeaux, etc.
