Reims has undertaken to develop the city's network of public reading places in an effort to gear it to the present-day needs of its inhabitants in terms of documentation, information, education and recreation.
The municipal library has thus been modernised and now operates around three main centres:
The media resources centres of Jean Falala and Croix-Rouge and the Carnegie library, which has been completely overhauled.

The Centre Culturel Saint-Exupéry is a crossroads of exchange and dialogue devoted to artistic practices of all kinds.
It is a place where the public can acquire a first experience of or perfect their techniques in the plastic arts, applied arts, theatre, dance, music, literature, video, multimedia resources, etc. It also puts on performances and exhibitions and organises numerous workshops for the younger generation.
Espace Culturel Multimédia:
 The title “Espace Culture Multimédia” (ECM) is issued by the French Minister for Culture and Communication to establishments that carry out cultural, educational and artistic multimedia projects. There are about 120 of them in France, ten of which are in Champagne Ardenne.
The ECM at the Centre Culturel Saint-Exupéry has a bank of fifteen or so computers (iMac, PC) for:
• The consultation of CD-ROMs or Websites for recreational, instructional or research purposes, that can be used either alone or with assistance in the form of workshops.
• Creative ends and largely for the general public to be able to conduct their own private or collective projects (video, Websites, etc.).
