(Centre for advanced IT Studies)
Since being created in 1958, two basic principles have determined CESI’s orientations and activities in the field of occupational training:
- Developing corporate performance by training, qualification, evolution and promotion of company employees.
- Bringing out the best qualities in people through training and giving substance to the notion of "training throughout life".
The CESI Group is present on 24 sites in France and 3 abroad (Algiers, Barcelona & Madrid).
Specialised in training engineers, executives, technicians and supervisors, CESI services are provided under 3 separate labels:
- Ei.cesi (CESI Engineers’ School)
- Cesi Entreprises (CESI corporate services)
- Exia (CESI IT college)
Ei.Cesi awards engineers’ diplomas accredited by the Commission for Engineers’ Titles as well as specialised Masters accredited by the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles. 2006 intake included 500 Masters students, 978 new engineering students, including 682 apprentice engineers, reinforcing its position as France’s leading school for engineers via apprenticeship. CESI has produced a total of some 11,000 engineers currently active in all sectors of the economy.
CESI Entreprises covers training activities dedicated to corporate customers. Through CESI Entreprises, CESI proposes 16 RNCP-registered Titles (levels III and II) and each year qualifies some 10,000 technicians, executives and engineers. Its modular offer enables companies to draw up individual training tracks for their staff which go from courses covering a few days to long cycles leading to qualifications. CESI Entreprises devises and implements tailored solutions to meet specific corporate needs.
Exia is present in 13 cities across France and offers synchronous teaching programmes throughout its network. In partnership with Quebec University, it is developing an innovative and active pedagogical approach to training new-profile IT professionals sought by businesses. From Bac level, Exia proposes a 5-year, 2-sector programme: Network Engineering and Software Engineering which award level III and II RNCP-registered Titles opening up the doors to the business world.
